Samuel's Update
Dear Friends,
A lot has happened during the past two months. There is so much good news to share with you that I don’t know where to begin and how to keep it to the point. I have traveled quite a bit during the past weeks and participated in a variety of IGL-related ministries. Every single one of them is worth reporting. Every time, with the passing of every single experience, every single story, and every testimony, I would keep telling myself as I heard them, “I have to share this with my friends and prayer partners, but do we have the time for all of it?”
So I will share with you just the highlights. T... [more]

Y21 Youth Conferences
It was a great inspiration and an absolutely rewarding experience for me to see over 1000 young men and women gathered for the inaugural session of the annual youth conference on the 14th of August at the Carmel Center in Salem. At the very beginning of the conference, all of the youth stood up to make a commitment to serve the Lord.
This event is historic in the sense that Y21 is the first integrated youth movement in this country with a stated goal and a vision for strengthening the foundations of the local church and equipping youth for ministry. The next two days was a great outbreak of the Holy Spirit. I have no doubt that we will s... [more]

Church Dedications
Five church buildings were dedicated in the past 20 days in India and Sri Lanka. These churches were gifts from the Hudson Community Chapel in Ohio, Jersey Shore Church of God in New Jersey, and the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg, New York. I am grateful to these and other IGL friends who are making these buildings possible.
The need for Life Centers truly cannot be overemphasized. Providing these “Light Houses” is one big leap in getting the growing indigenous church established and deep-rooted in the local communities and in empowering the believers to have an effective and credible witness and outreach among their own. ... New Mission Base
Construction work on the new mission base in Sri Lanka is progressing. The first phase of five cottages for children is nearing completion. These cottages will be dedicated on the 29th of October. The land is very strategically located in terms of access from all across the country by road and rail and relatively close to the airport for international travelers. Apart from the facility for housing children and a school, our vision is also to include adequate infrastructure to hold our training conferences there. This is also a great need. Hopefully we will have our own facility, perhaps the largest in the entire country, that wil... [more]

Women WIth A Mission Conferences
The women’s teams also had a very fruitful time of ministry in August and September. I am so glad that we decided not to cancel any events, because the women were very anxious to have these gatherings. They came from all over the nation, including some of the most difficult areas, risking their lives. The August group from the U.S. was led by Belinda Kendall from the Indian Creek Community Church in Olathe, Kansas.
The annual WWM General Assembly was held in Salem in September. Our thanks to Hudson Community Chapel and the team of women who stepped in to help us. There were two major events between the 3rd and 13th of ... [more]
