The Cement Block Centers were established after the devastating tsunami of 2004 and have proven to be an invaluable resource to the villages of India. Not only are blocks provided for homes constructed by IGL, but the blocks are also sold to local contractors and government agencies for construction purposes as well. This has provided a steady stream of income and new jobs where none existed before. Each gift helps establish one cement block center for a village.
