Long Term Vision for Myanmar

With the news of the devastating cyclone in Myanmar, requests have begun to come about IGL's possible involvement in the recovery and rehabilitation process. Our President, Rev. Samuel D. Stephens will be traveling to Myanmar in early June to assess potential areas for assistance. In keeping with IGL's practices, Samuel will formulate a plan of long-term rehabilitation efforts through provisions for immediate care of families and children in need and supplies/training to stimulate economic recovery. Through these efforts it is our hope that many will come to see that they are loved by those who love Jesus Christ. Since our plans are not fully fomed at this time, we are asking that donations for this effort be made to a general fund for Myanmar assistance from which all of the programs will be drawn. • Praise God for the Children's Gospel Club programs underway, with anticipation of reaching more than 500,000 children with the message of Jesus!
• Praise God for the 6 medical teams that are forming for work this fall!
• Praise God for health and safety of IGL staff as they have been travelling heavily this past month.
• Praise God for the Y21 leaders who continue to make extraordinary sacrifices to reach young people for Christ.
• Praise God for the work in villages that have been adopted and for the positive reception from the villagers.

• Pray for the state pastors' conference in Maharashtra this month--for the arrangements, particpants' travel, and for the Lord's blessing to be on those who attend.
• Pray for the Children's Gospel Clubs as they finish up this month and as the follow-up work begins.
• Pray for the effective translation of materials in Marathi and that the printing schedule will be met on time.
• Pray for continued growth of child sponsorship programs so that we may reach the goal of 20,000 children sponsored by 2020.
• Pray for the safety of construction workers as they are completing several new buildings and facility additions for IGL, that they would remain unharmed in their daily tasks.
